i love these recently purchased beauties, they have that certain je ne sai quoi... where did i get them one might ask? oh it's the funniest story! you know that quaint little bowling alley cum night club after hours in paris? you know the place, on rue de something or other, near champs des whatever? (anybody who's anybody has been) i was there last week's end with...well, i can't say who i was with, the press would have a field day, dah-ling. anyhoo, giddy with dance and bronx cocktails and bum rushed out the door, we realized later that evening with great hilarity, that we had walked off with the shoes. oh my! when we finally made it to our dear gatsby's, he thought it was the funniest thing he had seen since he didn't know when and we took up a game of tenpin that lasted 'til dawn, right there on his front lawn!

ok, not true... i got them at parisian, not a bowling alley in paris. but who knows? i could have...maybe. that was a gold bricked story from the beginning, the closing's where it really lost it's luster. gatsby lived in ny, west egg, where all the new money was, not paris. but who knows? he could have...maybe.
